VLAN Segmentation

Virtual LANs (VLANs) logically segment networks without physical separation. This reduces broadcast domains and improves performance. From a security perspective, VLANs limit lateral movement between departments or device types. However, they must be paired with proper access control lists (ACLs) to be effective.
